Communication

  1. Always be respectful
  2. Show empathy
  3. Stay calm and in a low-emotion state, especially when others are high-emotion
  4. Never be rude to other users or insult any group of people
  5. Be helpful to others

Backstage Access

The Backstage channel is the primary location for discussion and communication of all moderation related activities. This includes reporting when moderation actions are taken.

Additionally, this is where Wooting can share information on upcoming projects and products.

The channel is also used to communicate or report on developing situations such as unexpected product defects or critical software issues.

All communication in the Backstage channel is considered confidential, and all WootHelp Volunteers are required to sign an Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before being assigned their role.

Moderation

As WootHelp, you have the authority to enforce that others behave in a respectful way, and when you are visibly active (typing, responding, reacting) you also have the obligation enforce it.

Note:

When you take a moderation action, you are expected to post in Backstage that you’ve done so.
